Hey, I am Evelyn

I grew up in the Columbia River Gorge, where I spent my days hiking and jumping into ice-cold water—something I deeply miss after moving 2,300 miles away to the Midwest. Now, everything here is flat, and the water feels like bathwater (which, frankly, is a little disappointing). I married my best friend and have since become a mom to three handsome little boys under three—yes, life is a beautiful, chaotic adventure!

My Story

Before motherhood, I worked for five years as a barista at a small-town coffee shop while also closing down the kitchen as a lead closer. Coffee and late-night kitchen shifts gave me a deep love for hard work, good conversations, and the simple joy of a well-made peppermint london fog.

I’m an extroverted introvert, a mix of bright light and bubbly energy with a deep love for meaningful conversations. I believe that children are a blessing, everything was created for the glory of God, and that mindset is 75% of the work in life. I love cooking, baking, reading, drawing, writing, and—let’s be honest—watching dirty, bloody cop shows.

A little fun fact about me: I was a Sweet Adeline for five years in my teen years, harmonizing my heart out. I also love chocolate, fires under the stars, and tent camping. Oh, and I’m the oldest of 14 kids (yes, all from the same parents, and no, we aren’t Catholic or Mormon).

Life isn’t always picture-perfect, though. I struggled with a seven-year porn addiction in my teens, and now that I’m a mom, I want to talk openly about the things parents are afraid to discuss—like porn, sex, and the challenges of navigating womanhood and motherhood in a fast-paced, problem-filled world. I’m here to share my thoughts and experiences, not because I have it all figured out, but because I know how it feels to wonder if you’re the only one struggling.

If you’re in the thick of the “raising kids and trying to keep up” phase, trying to figure out what it even means to be a woman, a mom, or just a person in this crazy world—welcome. You’re not alone, and I’m glad you’re here.
